PALS is a group practice of experienced psychologists, neuropsychologists, and learning specialists focusing on children and adolescents with a wide variety of developmental, medical, learning, and emotional challenges. We have extensive expertise in neuropsychological and educational evaluations, and serve as educational consultants and advocates for patients and their families.

Dr. David Salsberg
Director
Dr. Salsberg is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist with over 20 years of experience providing exceptional care to children and families. He specializes in neuropsychological and educational evaluations, therapy, school consultation, and advocacy for children with physical, developmental, neurological, psychological, and learning differences. His personalized approach, expertise, and keen insight empowers PALS families to help their children reach their full potential. PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE AND LEADERSHIP In addition to his role as Director of PALS, Dr. Salsberg serves as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Neuropsychology at Weill Cornell Medical College (Department of Neurological Surgery) and is a Clinical Instructor at the NYU School of Medicine (Department of Pediatrics). His previous roles include Associate Director of Pediatric Psychology and Neuropsychology at NYU Langone Medical Center's Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation and Coordinator of Psychosocial Services at the Stephen D. Hassenfeld Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. Dr. Salsberg is a renowned expert in acquired brain injury and concussion care. He collaborates with Weill Cornell Medical College, as well as the New York Giants team physicians, to conduct annual pre-season concussion screenings for the team. Dr. Laura Tagliareni
Director
Dr. Tagliareni is a highly skilled pediatric neuropsychologist specializing in the evaluation and treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults with developmental delays, learning differences, psychological disorders, neurological, and complex medical conditions. Her comprehensive assessments, clinical insight, and evidence-based treatment plans ensure accurate diagnoses and optimal outcomes for her patients. PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE AND LEADERSHIP Dr. Tagliareni serves as an adjunct professor at Pace University, and is widely recognized for her expertise in neuropsychological evaluations, navigating the special education system, and addressing the late effects of cancer treatments. Dr. Michael Trush
Neuropsychologist
Dr. Trush is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist with expertise in Child Clinical Psychology, School Psychology, and Sports Neuropsychology. He specializes in providing comprehensive evaluations and support for children and adolescents with a range of developmental and neurological needs. Dr. Krystin Biscardi
Neuropsychologist
Dr. Biscardi adopts a strengths-based approach to comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations, supporting children and adolescents with a wide range of developmental, learning, emotional, and neurological needs. She is passionate about leveraging each child’s unique interests and strengths to deliver holistic and accurate assessments that empower children and guide effective educational and treatment planning. PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE AND LEADERSHIP With expertise in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Dr. Biscardi has served on comprehensive DBT teams for both children, adolescents, and adults. She has gained extensive training experiences in several diverse settings at varying levels of care, including an inpatient psychiatric unit, partial hospitalization/day treatment programs, outpatient mental health clinics, and public schools. Dr. Biscardi completed her pre-doctoral APA-accredited clinical internship at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in NJ, where she provided therapeutic and assessment services to children, adolescents, and adults, while also supervising third-year psychiatry residents. CAREER HIGHLIGHTS AND COMMUNITY IMPACT Dr. Biscardi has cultivated her passion for supporting individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), through both clinical work and research. Over the years, she has worked with the ASD population in myriad capacities, including as an academic coach for college students enrolled in the Ongoing Academic and Social Instructional Support (OASIS) program at Pace University, as an instructor of a Social Literacy course, and as a co-leader of a therapeutic group for District 75 students. She is affiliated with the American Psychological Association (APA) and has been recognized with the Outstanding Doctoral Student Award and the Charles N. Stewart Award in Neuroscience. Dr. Jordan Zelinger
Neuropsychologist
Dr. Zelinger, is a New York State Licensed Psychologist and Certified School Psychologist with extensive experience working with individuals from preschool through college and beyond. He specializes in the evaluation and treatment of adolescents with neurodevelopmental, academic, and social-emotional needs. PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE AND LEADERSHIP Dr. Zelinger has performed neuropsychological evaluations for children and young adults with diverse presentations at PALS since 2014. In addition, he has served as a school psychologist for grades 7–12 in a public school on Long Island, as well as at a K-8 New York City private school serving gifted students. His expertise in understanding the unique challenges faced by children of various ages and presentations allows him to provide tailored interventions and guidance to help young people thrive. He has experience performing evaluations, performing psychotherapy from an integrative approach, participating at IEP meetings, participating in impartial hearings, advocating for students in private schools, and consulting with parents and related service providers. CAREER HIGHLIGHTS AND COMMUNITY IMPACT Dr. Zelinger completed several year-long internships in Long Island school districts, where he honed his skills in supporting students and families. He also completed his pre-doctoral internship at the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center, a free outpatient clinic that provides psychological services to individuals in and around New York City. Currently, he is the school psychologist at the Speyer Legacy School in addition to working at PALS. A LITTLE (UN)KNOWN FACT Dr. Zelinger is one of 4 sons to psychologist parents, and he enjoys telling his brothers that his career choice has made him his parents' favorite. In addition, he has co-authored a children's book with his mother, "Please Explain Anxiety to Me: Simple Biology for Children and Parents". He's also become interested in Axe Throwing as a way to spend his free time. In addition, before deciding on becoming a psychologist he was working towards becoming a Veterinarian and hopes to add a dog to his family soon!

Dr. Perry Sandrock
Director of Psychotherapy
Dr. Sandrock is a licensed psychologist who specializes in providing evidence-based treatment to children, adolescents, and families. Dr. Sandrock has expertise in providing cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic psychotherapy, and play therapy, as well as Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE). She is skilled at conducting neuropsychological evaluations and providing targeted treatment plans to meet the needs of patients with diverse diagnostic profiles. PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE AND LEADERSHIP Dr. Sandrock specializes in working with children and their families to navigate anxiety, adjustment disorders, mood disorders, and behavioral and social-emotional challenges. In addition to her clinical work, she is an adjunct professor at Pace University. CAREER HIGHLIGHTS AND COMMUNITY IMPACT Dr. Sandrock completed her postdoctoral training at PALS and her APA Accredited Pre-Doctoral Internship at NYU Langone Health, Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation, where she provided supportive psychotherapy to patients and their families in an acute pediatric inpatient medical rehabilitation unit. Dr. Sandrock has worked at nonprofit hospitals, inpatient psychiatric settings, mental health clinics, and within the public school system. Randall Klein
Director of Educational Support Services
Randall is an experienced education strategist with a proven track record in successful curriculum development, innovative pedagogy practices and holistic coaching approaches for improved student learning outcomes. Randall has expertise in building high-performing educational teams and creating student-centered environments through comprehensive training, process improvements, professional development, and strategic partnership & programming. PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE AND LEADERSHIP Randall brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to helping parents & educators and students understand root causes of behaviors that often result in wavering self-esteem issues and feelings of success inside and out of the classroom. She uses practices such as universal design learning, inquiry based education, instructional strategy, cognitive development, and executive functioning learning integration to all conversations as a precursor to understanding one's learning experience. As a skilled coach and professional development speaker, Randall has led sessions on topics such as understanding learning differences, styles & types of learners to maximize participation & minimize behavioral issues in the classroom, epic engagement activities to optimize student motivation & performance, integration of executive functioning in the classroom and instructional design, etc. providing educators with actionable strategies to enhance the teacher and student experience. Ellen Grayson
Director of Educational Consulting & Placement
Ellen is a seasoned professional in LD Education, Admissions, and School Placement, with decades of experience in New York City. As a trained Speech-Language Pathologist, she is a trusted resource for students and families in educational placement. Ellen uses her extensive network to consult on school placements for both domestic and international clients. PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE AND LEADERSHIP Ellen’s career spanned over a decade at the Gateway School as Director of Admissions and Outplacement, where she helped reposition the school within the competitive landscape of New York City. For nearly two decades, Ellen chaired the Quest Department at The Dwight School, helping implement the prestigious International Baccalaureate program, while advocating for students with learning differences. CAREER HIGHLIGHTS AND COMMUNITY IMPACT Ellen’s leadership and strategic initiatives have transformed educational institutions and empowered families, influencing pathways for students of all backgrounds. Carly Furino
Assistant Director of Educational Support Services & Learning Specialist
Carly is a dedicated special educator, school consultant, and parent coach with expertise in early childhood and elementary education. She specializes in supporting students with learning differences, including challenges in executive functioning and social-emotional learning. Carly is passionate about empowering children, families, and educators through training and coaching on evidence-based strategies for differentiated instruction, effective behavior intervention, and building essential executive function skills. PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE AND LEADERSHIP Carly excels in curriculum development, behavior intervention, and professional development for educators. Adriane Miliotis
Executive Director, Behavior Support Services
Adriane is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) specializing in designing and overseeing evidence-based intervention programs for children with autism and related disorders. Rooted in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), her approach prioritizes compassionate, ethical care, emphasizing collaboration with families and service providers to create interventions that lead to meaningful, lasting progress. In addition to her clinical work, Adriane is deeply committed to mentoring aspiring BCBAs and behavior therapists, ensuring the continued growth of the field while upholding the highest standards of clinical quality and ethical integrity. PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE AND LEADERSHIP Adriane earned her Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Caldwell College, where she conducted her thesis research under the mentorship of Dr. Tina Sidener. Her thesis, "An Evaluation of the Number of Presentations of Target Sounds during Stimulus-Stimulus Pairing Trials," was later published in the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, reflecting her dedication to research-driven practice. Throughout her career, Adriane has served on the boards of various nonprofit organizations that align with her professional and personal passions, including the Museum of Jewish Heritage and Alpine Learning Group. Jacki Beckerman

Jacki is dedicated to enhancing the educational experience for students with diverse needs. As the Associate Director at PALS Support Services, she specializes in executive functioning, academic coaching, and empowering both students and their families. With a strengths-based approach, Jacki tailors support plans to meet the unique needs of each learner, helping students gain confidence and thrive academically. PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE AND LEADERSHIP With over a decade of teaching experience, Jacki has honed her skills in one-on-one and small group coaching. She has expertise in executive functioning, academic coaching, and classroom instruction across all subjects, with a special focus on English Language Arts (ELA) and Math at the middle and high school levels. Jacki’s work is dedicated to helping students not only achieve their goals but also develop the skills needed to become independent and successful learners. Ashley Brokaw-Shapiro
Executive Director, Behavior Support Services
In her role at PALS, Ashley coordinates teams of seasoned behaviorists who provide direct applied behavior analytic (ABA) services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and related disorders. She coordinates and oversees school and home-based programs, school-based interventions, and provides families and staff with training and support. PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE AND LEADERSHIP Ashley is a NYS Certified Early Childhood General and Special Education teacher and Board Certified and Licensed Behavior Analyst (BCBA, LBA). She has over 15 years of experience in utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis in the treatment of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, ranging from 18 months through 10 years old. She has served as a field supervisor and adjunct lecturer in both the Early Childhood Special Education and BCBA certification programs at Hunter College. Laura Giolitti Egui

Laura is a passionate Venezuelan educator with over 18 years of experience in early childhood and special education. As a behavior therapist and SEIT, she specializes in fostering inclusive, compassionate, and effective learning environments through her expertise in learning differences, bilingual teaching (Spanish and English), applied behavior analysis (ABA), and sign language. Cheyenne Busch

Cheyenne is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst specializing in functional communication, daily living skills, and supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in developing positive and adaptive behaviors. She provides individualized support in home and community settings, working closely with clients and their families to promote independence and meaningful skill development. PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE AND LEADERSHIP Cheyenne gained extensive experience working with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities at a specialized school, where she advanced from Behavior Therapist to classroom lead, specializing in developing personalized treatment plans, building functional communication skills, and supporting clients across the lifespan using evidence-based strategies.
